Or have you just moved into your new home and you’re not sure how you can buy white goods?
Jargon like this can confuse people and often things get lost in translation or misunderstood. This is especially annoying if you’re a first-time renter moving into your new home and you have a million other things to think about.
To try and ease some stress, in this blog we jargon-bust white goods by telling you exactly what they are, and how you can get a hold of them yourself!
What Are White Goods?
The term ‘white goods’ simply mean’s any large appliance you may use in your home. Some examples of white goods include:
???? Washing machines
???? Dishwashers
???? Fridges
???? Freezers
???? Tumble dryers
???? Cookers
Typically, the above appliances can be categorised by the fact that they all use some form of energy whether that be electricity, gas, or other fuel sources.
The reason these appliances are called white goods, comes from the factory colour they all universally used to be manufactured in, white!
Of course, now you can get some funky coloured appliances to fit the colour scheme of your home, but these are still classed as white goods.
